the fuzzy swaddle

Learning how to swaddle is difficult at first, but it’s well worth the effort. Wrapping your child in a soft, breathable muslin swaddle blanket helps soothe baby to sleep in comfort — which means everybody gets a chance to relax!

Here are some steps to follow to swaddle safely:

Lay the swaddle blanket in a diamond shape, and fold the top corner down.
Place your little one on top, in the center with his or her head above the folded corner. Your baby’s shoulders should be aligned with the top of the blanket.

Pull the left side of the swaddle blanket across your baby’s chest and tuck it under the opposite arm. Ensure his or her left arm is snuggly secured under the blanket. The swaddle should be snug, but not too tight.

Fold the bottom of the blanket over your baby’s feet and tuck it behind his or her shoulder.

Pull the right side of the swaddle and tuck in underneath your baby’s left side.
